In late April, Vannputhika and Sopheakvethya embarked on a 3-month internship in Japan, working on digital transformation initiatives with a local lacquerware company. “I’ve always been fascinated by Japanese culture and work ethics,” Vannputhika shared. “So when I saw the opportunity to intern in Hiraizumi, I didn’t hesitate. I wanted to challenge myself by stepping outside my comfort zone and experiencing real-world tech projects in a different cultural context.” he continued. The internship centered around software development, with the two students contributing to the creation of a digital system designed to streamline the design process for the traditional Japanese craft business.
